"I’d always been unlucky in love. I’d been single for years and hated the monotony of dating apps. I had cast myself off as the Bridget Jones who would never find her Mark Darcy. One evening whilst doom scrolling through Facebook, I stumbled across a Cornish speed dating event. I decided to attend, thinking it would likely result in some comical stories. Instead, I met Jason. We had the most random five minute conversation. I knew I liked him straight away. I waited patiently for the match results the next day, and to my delight, we matched! Six months on, and we’ve become inseparable. I never thought I would feel this way about someone. He’s everything I’d ever hoped to find in a man and so much more. And the scary thing about it all is that we’d never have met if it wasn’t for Cornish speed dating. My advice to anyone reading this is - go to speed dating;  one evening could change your life!"

"Since my divorce a number of years ago, I wasn't sure what I  wanted in life. I signed up to various dating apps over the years but never found anyone I clicked with . I'm a fairly shy guy, so dating apps were fairly easy to work with whilst being behind a keyboard.

I was newish to Facebook and saw a local post about something called speed dating. This was local to me, and I actually just paid online then and there almost 4 weeks before the event. Well, the night arrived, and I was so nervous it was unreal, chatting to 15 different ladies with 5 minutes to make things count. All I know is one 5 minute conversation about humanity and Chinese takeaways..... completely  changed my life!! I'm happy to say Amy and I since matching have become inseparable, been on holiday, met each others children, and actually have the best time ever together.
